One of the beautiful things about Barcelona is the ability to see the city from some privileged viewpoints. The fact that you are surrounded by mountains means that there are different places to enjoy wonderful views of the city at high points. So let’s see Barcelona from the top, especially if you like or if you are panoramic photography lovers.
Park Guell is without doubt the first place in the list of any traveler who visits Barcelona. That’s great because apart of Gaudi’s works this park includes fascinating picnic area and panoramic views that won’t leave you indifferent.
Going a bit higher you can find not a very touristic place Turó de la Rovira with 360o panoramic view with free access. It’s really awesome! It is also a place with historical interest where the Carmel bunkers were built during the Spanish Civil War in addition to hosting a neighborhood of barracks after the war that lasted 40 years, until the Olympics Games has started the government started “washing the face of the city”. So it’s just must visit!
Montjuïc Castle will be our third place must visit. No words just go and have a long-long walk around its marvelous places, gardens, museum MNAC and of course viewpoints.
Maybe after a long walk by Monjuïc Mountain you will be too exhausted but we also have a deal for you. On the top of ex-plaza de toros, actual shopping-mall “Arenas” you can have a drink and continuing admiring Barcelona’s highlights.
Well, if we start talking about drinks, don’t doubt and go up to our terrace at Hotel Duquesa de Cardona to have a total relax with Port Vell views.
